It was déjà vu -- 86 years later -- for GLORIA VANDERBILT this week as she returned to the house where she and her parents once lived on East 77th Street. It's now Brandeis House, the alumni home of the university, which recently discovered the direct Vanderbilt connection to the property. Gloria Vanderbilt came back "home" for a book party with author Wendy Goodman (New York Magazine), who wrote THE WORLD OF GLORIA VANDERBILT, published in November by Abrams. Regniald C. Vanderbilt, Gloria's father, proposed to her mother in the area of the house that's now an alumni business center.
